The problem we saw
E-commerce brands around the world lose billions in margin every year through discounting.
Before Tyviso, we spent years inside some of the world’s biggest brands and saw the same pattern play out again and again. Prices were cut to win the customer. Sales came through, but the margin was chipped away in the process.
In boardrooms, it was often described as a necessary cost of acquisition. In reality, it meant giving away more value than brands could afford to lose.
Where Tyviso started
In 2021, we started with a simple question.
Could brands grow without relying so heavily on discounts? Could they give customers something genuinely valuable, without eating into margin? And could that approach be proven properly with data?
That first version of Tyviso was built to test exactly that.
What changed
The early signs were promising, but we knew it could go further.
In early 2023, we rebuilt the platform from the ground up. That was when Tyviso became what it is today: an e-commerce technology company designed to help brands measurably grow across the Commerce Journey.
Rather than focusing on a single point of conversion, we looked at the wider customer experience. From basket and checkout to post-purchase and loyalty, the aim was to help brands create more value for customers and stronger commercial results.
How we work
Tyviso was founded by Adrian Vella and Pierre Cozzani, who first worked together at Yahoo! managing and optimising some of the world’s largest accounts.
That experience shaped how we work today. We bring curiosity, precision, and healthy scepticism to the work. We focus on what the data tells us, rather than what sounds good in theory.
We also take the time to understand a brand properly. We do not recommend partners until we know the business, the customer, and the journey in detail.
What we care about
We focus on the metrics that matter for long-term growth, from basket completion and average order value to customer retention.
We believe growth should not depend on giving margin away. They should be able to create more value for customers and understand the impact in clear commercial terms.
